Fitting the head

Screw the inflator head onto the cartridge by hand until it seats, then hold the head square while the tyre fills. A head that is cross-threaded vents the cylinder without inflating the tyre.

Keep the head tight on the cartridge until it is used. A cartridge that has been part-discharged cannot be reused.

What to expect

CO2 fills quickly but leaks out of a butyl inner tube faster than air does, so check the pressure before the next ride and top up with a pump.
