M16 x 1.5 is not the same fitting as the 3/8 cylinders used on smaller jackets and inflator heads. Ordering by capacity alone is the common mistake, and the cylinder will not seal if the thread is wrong.

Check the length as well. A larger cylinder needs clearance inside the jacket cover, and it has to sit in the clip without loading the firing head.

Service routine

Replace the cylinder and the seal at each service interval, and replace any cylinder that has been fired, even if it was fired in error.

Inspect the firing head, the lever and the lanyard at the same time. A new cylinder on a corroded head is not a serviced jacket.
