60 W Soldering Gun Kit: Overview

Internal or External Heating
External heating
An external-heating gun wraps the element around the outside of the tip. The element is sheltered from knocks and from solder splash, so it lasts longer, but more of the heat goes into the surrounding air and the tip takes longer to come up.

Internal heating
